Mark Kimmerling

Mark Kimmerling brings more than 26 years of mortgage experience and a personal approach to helping clients navigate home financing.
Mark's financial career began nearly 30 years ago through various roles in banking. In 1996, he became a closing officer, gaining firsthand experience with the details and moving pieces involved in getting a mortgage to the closing table. Three years later, he transitioned into a loan officer role, where he found an opportunity to work directly with borrowers and help them achieve their homeownership goals.
Looking at the Bigger Picture
Mark believes the best mortgage solution starts with understanding the person, not just the loan application.
He takes time to learn about each client's financial picture, needs, and goals before helping them explore their options. His goal is to identify a mortgage strategy that makes sense for the borrower's individual circumstances and, when possible, helps them save money over the life of the loan.
Mark also understands that buying a home can be stressful. His approach is designed to give clients confidence that the details are being handled while they focus on the excitement of purchasing a home.
Clients appreciate Mark's warm and reassuring personality, as well as the care he brings to every transaction. He believes building a strong relationship with a client starts with listening and continues through clear communication and personalized service.

Mark is licensed to lend in all 50 states and has originated loans in 19 different states throughout his career.
Although he currently lives in North Carolina, a significant portion of his business continues to come through referrals from Bloomington, Illinois and the surrounding area. Those long-standing referral relationships are a meaningful part of Mark's business and a reflection of the trust he has built with clients and professional partners over the years.
Life Outside of Mortgage Lending
When he is not working with clients, Mark enjoys taking on home remodeling projects, watching college football, and relaxing on his deck.
He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelly, and their two dogs, Blaze and Maggie. Whether they're working on a project around the house or simply enjoying an adventure together, Mark values the time he gets to spend with his family.
After more than two decades as a loan officer, Mark continues to believe that the best part of mortgage lending is helping people reach important milestones in their lives.
